Mid-September Alan and I ventured off to Budapest, Venice, Asolo and Vienna for over three weeks. With a sigh of relief, we abandon the idea of mandatory visits to museums, castles, churches, statutes or tourist sights and instead walk neighborhoods, ride public transit, visit markets, and use our limited foreign language skills.
